Representatives from the Lithuanian and ten other national football federations were invited to the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, where they participated in discussions on the future development guidelines for women's football in Europe.
The seminar, held on September 13, was attended by the general director of the Lithuanian Women's Football Association, Milda Liužinaitė, as well as representatives from the Czech Republic, Iceland, Montenegro, Kazakhstan, Poland, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, France, San Marino, and North Macedonia.
The seminar focused on current topics such as technical development and coaching, grassroots football, marketing and communications, the "HatTrick" and "Grow" programs, and the structure of UEFA women's football competitions.
"In meetings like these, it is important to share experiences, learn from the good practices and methods of other countries - this helps us develop our strategies and learn from stronger ones. At present, special attention is being paid to developing relationships with other football federations and UEFA itself, as this helps open doors to future partnerships, including the financial support needed for the development of women's football in Lithuania. Women's football has great potential: the increasing popularity of women's football worldwide shows that this sport is growing and can significantly contribute to the growth of the football community."
