2007: Sergio Aguero

Team at the time: "Atletico"

Current team: "Manchester City"

Sergio Aguero joined the youth academy of "Independiente" when he was just nine years old and made his professional debut with the team. He first appeared in the Argentine league at the age of 15 years and 35 days, breaking the record held by Diego Maradona and becoming the youngest player in the league's history.

His chance in the first team came in the following season, after a seven-month break from his debut. His performance in the "Copa Libertadores" tournament gave him another record - he became the youngest debutant in the history of that tournament. However, even in those years, the young player was given only seven opportunities to take to the field, and he had to wait another year for his debut goal.

Sergio Aguero's debut goal for "Independiente" came on November 26, 2004, with a long-distance shot against "Estudiantes". He played 12 matches that season, scored 5 goals, and after the season, he won the Under-20 World Cup with the Argentine youth team.

In the following season, the Argentine talent shone so brightly that most of the strongest European clubs started to show interest in him. In the 2005-2006 season, he scored an impressive goal, a shot from halfway line against "Racing", fooling the opponent's defenders and scoring the fourth goal for the team in the match. The striker was full of self-confidence at the time, and in April he announced without waiting that he would leave the team after the season.
