Legendary Diego Maradona, who amused many football fans during the World Cup, is starting new work - he will work in Belarus, at the Brest "Dinamo" club.
The champion of 1986 will take on the role of president in this club. As the Argentine himself stated, he hopes to elevate Belarusian sports to a new level.
At a press conference, D. Maradona also revealed that he hopes to meet with Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko in the near future. The former footballer mentioned him alongside Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Muammar Gaddafi, and Vladimir Putin.
The media noted one detail of this presentation - D. Maradona arrived at the stadium not in just any car, but in a giant jeep.
