Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the start of the Lithuanian Football Federation's Second League West Zone season was delayed by a couple of months. This year, twelve teams were invited to participate in the league.

Season newcomers include: Klaipėda FK "Atlantas", Klaipėda FK "Rosa", Klaipėda FC "Neptūnas", Tauragė FK "Tauras", Šiauliai FA "Šiauliai" B, and Šiauliai FK "Juventa-99".

Returning teams are: "Radviliškis", Gargždai "Banga" B, Telšiai "Džiugas" B, Plungė "Babrungas", Joniškis "Saned", and "Šilutė".

It is worth remembering that last season the champions were the footballers from "Radviliškis".

The season's opening match took place on Friday in Telšiai between the local team "Džiugas" and Klaipėda's "Neptūnas", with 150 football fans eagerly watching the game.

The first half ended without any goals, only a yellow card for "Džiugas" goalkeeper Egidijus Jundulas for unsportsmanlike behavior. The second half saw more action, with the first goal scored by "Neptūnas" defender Aurimas Skurdelis in the 58th minute.

Starting the weekend, "Radviliškis" faced Joniškis "Saned" at home. The match quickly turned into a dominant performance by "Radviliškis", with Edgaras Stankevičius scoring the first goal in the 5th minute.

On the same day, Klaipėda "Atlantas" faced the league newcomer "Tauras" from Tauragė. The game ended with a 2-1 victory for "Atlantas".
