The season of Trauma-stricken C. Bravo probably already ended

After suffering an injury in the 36th round match of the Spanish championship last Saturday, Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo may not appear on the pitch this season.

The Chilean requested a substitution at the end of the match against Real Betis Sevilla, in the 87th minute. Marc-Andre ter Stegen, a German, took Bravo's place in goal to finish the match.

After a medical examination, Barcelona's doctors determined that Bravo had suffered a strained muscle in his right calf. However, the doctors' report did not specify how long the goalkeeper's rehabilitation might take, so it is not ruled out that he may not return to the field this season.

Barcelona has two more matches in the Spanish championship with Espanyol and Granada, as well as the final match of the King's Cup with Sevilla, which will be played on May 22 at the Vicente Calderon stadium in Madrid.

Bravo defended Barcelona's goal in 34 matches this season and conceded 23 goals.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen plays in the King's Cup and Champions League matches for the Catalan club.

By the way, some analysts note that Bravo's absence can have some positive consequences for the German - he will have extra playing time before the King's Cup final with Sevilla.
