The first day of EURO 2020 did not skimp on goals, and the Italians could rejoice in a secure victory against the Turks. On the second day of the European Championship, another set of matches will be played from Group A, and the teams from Group B will also start their battles. Wales, which is far from being a regular feature in every European Championship, became a true sensation in 2016 when they advanced all the way to the semifinals of the tournament. However, this year, led by Gareth Bale, the team is not predicted to achieve anything similar. Bookmakers rate Wales' chances of advancing from Group A as the worst, yet they still aim for more than 50 percent. Gareth Bale, who regained good form towards the end of the season, should be a key player for Wales in the European Championship. The young "Manchester United" winger Daniel James could also shine. The team had to undergo coaching changes when Ryan Giggs stepped down from his position due to a scandal and was replaced by Robert Page. The Swiss team is traditionally seen as a team that could reach the knockout stages, but nothing exceptional is expected from this team. The season of the team's leader, Xherdan Shaqiri, did not inspire optimism, as he played only 22 matches for Liverpool last season. The favorites in this matchup are considered to be Switzerland, with a probability of more than 49 percent to score the first three points and take a step towards the knockout stages. Scandinavians match in Copenhagen In the second matches of the day, we will see teams from Group B, with the first to enter the fray being the footballers of Denmark and Finland. Finland is playing in the European Championship for the first time in the country's history, so it is not surprising that this team is considered a clear outsider in Group B. According to bookmakers, Finland's chances of advancing to the next stage are only 28 percent. However, this does not mean that there is nothing to watch in the Finnish national team. Those less interested in club football must pay attention to Teemu Pukki, who scored 11 goals in the 2019-2020 season in the Premier League while playing for Norwich, which finished last. Last season, the 31-year-old veteran once again starred in the Championship, scoring as many as 26 goals and helping the Canaries return to the Premier League. The Finns left the Greeks and Bosnians behind in the qualifying group, so there is no need to underestimate this team. Denmark, on the other hand, is considered the main competitor to Belgium in Group B, if they have any at all. However, Denmark did not easily qualify for the European Championship, finishing second in their group, just three points ahead of Ireland. It is no surprise to say that Denmark's main weapon remains Christian Eriksen, but it is also necessary to mention Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, who looked very solid towards the end of the season and helped his club win the Champions League. The clear favorite of this matchup in the eyes of bookmakers is Denmark, with their chances being valued at over 71 percent. Denmark also has the advantage that this match will take place in Copenhagen. Russia's test for the "Red Devils" The Saturday matches will conclude with the second clash in Group B, where the Belgian and Russian footballers will meet. Belgians are once again considered one of the favorites of the tournament, with only the French and English chances rated higher to win the European Champions crown. It's really no surprise to see Belgians being rated so highly. Kevin De Bruyne played another excellent season in the Premier League, while Serie A dazzled with striker Romelu Lukaku, who guided Inter to the title of Italian champions. And let's not forget about Eden Hazard, who had many injury problems last season, but his abilities should not be underestimated. The Russian national team performed solidly at the 2018 World Cup, reaching the quarterfinals, but it seems unlikely that this team could make a serious impact at EURO 2020. Russia's leader should continue to be Artem Dzyuba and Monaco's attacking midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, who shone three years ago at the World Cup. Interestingly, both teams played in the same qualifying group, where the Belgians had no trouble and celebrated victories with scores of 3:1 and 4:1. However, bookmakers do not rule out a Russian victory in this match, although they are underdogs with their chances of winning the game being almost 30 percent. Order of the second day: 16:00 Wales - Switzerland 19:00 Denmark - Finland 22:00 Belgium - Russia
