The French publication "Le Parisien" has published the top seven most expensive footballer contracts of all time.
According to the newspaper, the clear leader in the list of total contract amounts excluding taxes is Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe.
Last summer, he signed a new contract with the team and will receive a whopping €630 million "on paper" over three years.
Second on the list is Argentine Lionel Messi, who bathed in money while playing for Barcelona (€555 million, 2017-2021).
The trio is completed by PSG striker Neymar, who will earn €267 million over six seasons.
Also included in the list are: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid, 2016-2021, €220 million, not in the team until the end of the contract), Cristiano Ronaldo (Turin Juventus, 2018-2022, €220 million, not in the team until the end of the contract), Gareth Bale (Real Madrid, 178 million, 2016-2022), Paul Pogba (Manchester United, 113 million, 2016-2021).
