The "Hamburger" club, demonstrating excellent gameplay this season, defeated another opponent - on Sunday, the team from the port city left no hopes for the "Kaiserslautern" club and won 3-0. From the very first minutes, "Hamburger" dominated the field and soon created several dangerous episodes near the opponents' goal, but the hosts managed to defend themselves somehow.

The first goal came at the end of the first half - R. van der Vaart, who finally regained good sports form, put the visitors ahead. At the beginning of the second half, Bosnian S. Barbarez sent the ball into the bottom corner of the "Kaiserslautern" goal, doubling the "Hamburger" lead. R. van der Vaart secured the victory for "Hamburger" with a long-range shot in the 82nd minute.

After losing in the UEFA Cup, "Stuttgart" coach G. Trapattoni made four changes in the starting lineup, but it didn't help the "Stuttgart" team regain strength. The club, which finished fourth in the Bundesliga last season, played a goalless draw away against the "Borussia" team.

It is worth mentioning that "Stuttgart" finished the match with ten men, as Danish player J.D. Tomasson was sent off in the 80th minute. After these draws, both teams have ten points and share the ninth and tenth places.
