The Solkjaer effect: "Man Utd" reached their biggest victory this season

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's career as the head coach of "Manchester United" started on a high note - the "Red Devils" celebrated a convincing victory in the 18th round of England's "Premier" league.

Jose Mourinho resigned on Tuesday and was replaced by the legendary former club player until the end of the season. In their first game under the new coach, "Man Utd" crushed "Cardiff" with a score of 5-1.

In the 3rd minute, Marcus Rashford scored the first goal with a beautiful penalty kick. The success of the Manchester visitors did not stop there - in the 29th minute, Ander Herrera unleashed an impressive shot from about 30 meters.

In the 38th minute, "Cardiff" narrowed the gap from the penalty spot, but just three minutes later Anthony Martial restored the visitors' two-goal advantage with a brilliant attack.

In the second half, Jesse Lingard had his say - in the 57th minute, he scored from the penalty spot, and at the end of the match, he netted his second goal, allowing the "Man Utd" team to celebrate their biggest victory of the season.

After the victory, "Manchester United" climbed to the sixth position in the table, trailing eight points behind the fifth-placed "Arsenal." In their last five matches, the "Red Devils" have only secured a victory once, when they comfortably defeated "Fulham" at home.
