The Spanish football championship will not be stopped - the country's highest court has ruled that the decision of the LFP to suspend "La Liga" matches from May 16 is illegal and the remaining two rounds will definitely take place.
The Spanish Football Federation announced on May 7 that due to disagreements with the government of the country, the championship will be suspended indefinitely.
The Spanish government wanted half of the money collected from the sale of television broadcast rights to be distributed among 20 league clubs, as the majority is currently held by two Spanish giants - Real Madrid and Barcelona.
This means that the remaining two "La Liga" rounds will be played. The Spanish championship will reach its conclusion on May 23.
It should be noted that Barcelona club is only one victory away from securing the title of Spanish champions.
