FIFA officially signed agreements with goal-line technology providers "GoalRef" and "Hawk-Eye".
Tests were conducted from last November to June, which proved the reliability of the technologies.
However, FIFA required the inventors to sign contracts with insurance companies, which would compensate for possible losses if the match result is disputed.
Suppliers have been granted permission to install goal-line technologies worldwide, however, additional testing will still be mandatory at each stadium.
