The Tenth Season of the Elite Youth League - to the Starting Line © JumpStory

On Saturday, the 2023-2024 season of the "Samsung Galaxy Watch" Elite Youth League (EJL) will begin, featuring 12 teams in three age divisions.

The first round will start on August 5 in Gargzdai, Kaunas, Panevezys, and Vilnius. The most interesting EJL matches this season will be broadcast on the futbolas.tv platform - the first match to be shown will be the U15 teams of FK "Žalgiris" and FK "Aidas" at 10:50.

This year, a new innovation will be introduced in the championship - in the first half of the season, the points earned by teams will be divided in half, aiming to maximize sports intrigue in the league standings until the very end. After the first half of the season, the teams will be divided into groups competing for 1-6 places and 7-12 places.

"I am delighted with the increasing competitiveness of this league every year, which elevates the level of playing footballers and coaches, which is important and relevant for Lithuanian sport to continue growing. I want to congratulate everyone on the upcoming season start and wish everyone to not only perform well at the beginning of the competition, but also have a successful finish - those who put in the most effort and work will celebrate in the end," said LVJUFA President Dainius Gudaitis.
