On Sunday, two matches were played in the German football championship - one match ended in a victory for "Hannover" and the other in a draw.
The Hanover footballers won three points against Monchengladbach, where the local "Gladbach" club was defeated by a minimal score. The only goal of the match was scored by H.Balitsch with a confident strike almost an hour into the game. The second victory in the last nine matches allowed "Hannover" to climb from second-to-last place to fifteenth, while the team of "Gladbach" which has not won in six consecutive matches moves up one place higher.
The match between the "Arminia" and "Wolfsburg" clubs ended in a 0-0 draw. Both teams, sharing a point, maintained their streaks of unbeaten matches - "Arminia" has not lost in eight consecutive matches, while "Wolfsburg" in six.
