"Diario AS" reports that the football organization of the Old Continent is closely monitoring the actions of the Spanish authorities, as an investigation into possible corruption allegations in the country's football federation has been launched.
According to FIFA and UEFA rules, local law enforcement agencies are prohibited from interfering in the activities of federations, otherwise there is a risk of long-term suspension of the national team and clubs from international tournaments.
If the strictest sanctions were to be imposed, the national team would be removed from the European Championship, and clubs would be excluded from the next season's Champions, European, and Conference Cup tournaments.
