The International Football Federation (FIFA) has revealed the surnames of three football coaches who will compete for the best strategist award in 2016.
Among the three candidates are Claudio Ranieri, Fernando Santos, and Zinedine Zidane. All three coaches have been considered main candidates from the beginning to continue the fight for the award.
C. Ranieri managed to miraculously lead "Leicester City" to triumph in the English Premier League last season. This season the "foxes" are struggling in England, but in the UEFA Champions League they are currently undefeated.
The main candidate to win the best strategist award is named Fernando Santos. The national team of Portugal coached by him became the champions of the 2016 European Championship.
The last candidate, Z. Zidane, took over as the coach of Real Madrid in January and just a few months later triumphed in the UEFA Champions League. Throughout his almost year-long career with the Real team, Z. Zidane has experienced only two losses.
The best coach of the year will be announced on January 9th.
