In the "TOPsport A League" after more than two seasons of break, Leo Ribeiro returned and did not hesitate to demonstrate his usual game.

The Brazilian player of the Kaunas district team "Hegelmann" was selected as the best player of the month in May. This was revealed after the votes of championship commentators, internet hosts, and all team captains, submitted by the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA).

In May, L. Ribeiro scored 2 goals and made an assist in five matches, and his team achieved three consecutive victories. The defender stood out with a great shot in the match against FA "Šiauliai" and sent the ball into the goal of his former team - Telšiai "Džiugas".

In the 2024 season, the Brazilian has scored 3 goals and assisted his teammates 2 times in 16 matches.

"For everyone, this was a month of hard work and dedication, as we had a goal to stay among the leaders until the national team break. Thank God, with everyone's help, my individual performance was noticed, and I am very happy about it. However, this would not have happened without the help of every team member.

Personally, I have a goal to become a champion with the "Hegelmann" club, and that is why we must work hard," said L. Ribeiro.

In March, the best player was recognized as Giedrius Matulevičius, the goalkeeper of Vilnius "Žalgiris", and in April - his teammate Joel Bopesu.
