The transition of V. Lindelof will save the former Swedish team from bankruptcy.

The Lithuanian team "Vasteras" eagerly awaits the moment when they can pop the champagne.

Just before the biggest holidays of the year, the team playing in the third most powerful league in the country received fantastic news - the club "Man Utd" is planning to buy their former player Victor Lindelof.

For the defender from "Benfica" in Lisbon, the "red devils" will pay 45 million euros and now, according to the press, they only have to settle a few formalities for the transfer to happen.

The president of "Vasteras", Bengt-Åke Nilsson, still can't believe it:

"These unbelievable sums for us, with even a debt of 600 thousand euros, are incredible. We can only hope that all the rumors will come true and this will be a great Christmas gift."

Just a few years ago, the Lithuanians made a very clever move - when selling Lindelof to "Benfica", they included a clause in the contract that "Vasteras" will receive 20% of the future transfer sum. In this case, that would be 9 million euros.
