The trio of Superleague clubs prepared a response to UEFA.

On Friday, UEFA announced penalties for the teams intending to join the Super League and plans to impose strict sanctions on the three remaining clubs in the tournament. The latter decided to release a public statement. According to the leaders of the teams "Real Madrid", "Juventus" and "Barcelona", such behavior by football officials is not justified. The Super League clubs-founders have experienced and are still facing unacceptable pressure, threats, and attacks from third countries to withdraw from the project and to fulfill their rights and obligations to present decisions of the football ecosystem and engage in constructive dialogue. This is intolerable from a legal perspective, and courts have already made a decision on the Super League, instructing FIFA and UEFA directly or through related bodies to refrain from any actions that could interfere with this initiative, as otherwise the whole process could move to courtrooms. Furthermore, we reiterate to FIFA, UEFA, and all football stakeholders, as we have done several times since the establishment of the Super League, our commitment and willingness to discuss respectfully and without intolerable pressure, while abiding by legal principles, seeking the most suitable solutions for the sustainability of the entire football family."
