Gareth Bale cost more for Real Madrid than was announced. The portal "Football Leaks" published a document stating the true price of the Welsh football star when he moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Real in 2013, as reported by lrytas.lt.
It was revealed that Gareth Bale's total cost was 100 million 759 thousand 417 euros.
This sum was made up of four installment payments and a solidarity fee, the value of which was 1 million 15 thousand 875 euros.
Real had the option to pay 87 million 10 thousand 350 euros for the player within 15 days, but it is reported that the club decided to pay in installments. The first installment was paid within 10 days of signing the contract, and the last one on July 24, 2016.
The fifteenth paragraph of the document states that Real Madrid will inform the media that they paid 91 million 589 thousand 842 euros for the player.
Tottenham Hotspur is prohibited from discussing the true price.
