The Turkish championship stopped after an armed attack

After the attack on the Istanbul "Fenerbahce" bus and the injury of its driver, the Turkish "Super Lig" championship was suspended for a week.

The attack occurred on Saturday as the team was traveling home after a 5-1 victory against "Rizespor."

During the break for investigation, the "Fenerbahce" club requested in an official statement: "Football ends where blood is shed. 'Fenerbahce's' main priority is to find and punish the culprits." Other teams also wanted to temporarily suspend the national championship.

The Turkish Football Federation, in turn, announced that this week's matches, along with the quarter-final cup matches, are being postponed.
