In France, in the “Ligue 1” championship, there is a “joker” rule that allows one team to acquire a player from another team during the transfer window. This right was immediately used by the “Bordeaux” team, which acquired forward M'Baye Niang from “Rennes”. The transfer is free, but “Rennes” may receive bonuses for this Senegalese player based on his performances. Also, a condition was added that in case of M. Niang's future sale, “Bordeaux” would receive a percentage from the transfer, reports journalist Julien Maynard. M'Baye Niang was certainly highly rated not too long ago, but his character often hinders him from fulfilling his potential. However, over the past two seasons in France, the Senegalese player has performed well, scoring 21 goals and providing 4 assists in 55 matches.
