The value of the San Marino national team - 150 thousand euros (survey)

Lithuanian national team - a true giant against San Marino team, if we compare the prices of players of the teams.

According to the portal transfermarkt.com, our country's footballers are valued 73 times more.

However, the website dared to present only the prices of 4 San Marino players, as almost all of Pierangelo Manzaroli's pupils are not professionals and additionally earn extra money in other areas.

The most expensive footballers are defenders Mirko Palazzi and Giovanni Bonini valued at 50 thousand euros each. Goalkeeper Aldo Simoncini and forward Mattia Stefanelli would be priced at 25 thousand euros each.

Meanwhile, in the Lithuanian national team, Giedrius Arlauskis alone is valued at 2.5 million euros, which is 50 times higher than the most expensive Sanmarinese. The overall team value is 10.8 million euros.

The Republic of San Marino is a unique state within a state. The country situated in the mountainous region of Italy has only 32 thousand inhabitants and was the smallest country in the European football family before Gibraltar's admission to UEFA.

The San Marino national team has achieved only one victory - in 2004 in friendly matches it surpassed Liechtenstein. However, several draws have been recorded in the history of this team - in 1993, they managed to draw with Turkey 0:0, and twice our neighbors stumbled on the Southern Barrier.

In 2001, San Marino brought home a point from the match against Latvia in Riga (1:1). The following year, in the EURO 2004 qualifiers, which Latvia successfully passed, a victory was brought to San Marino by an opponent's goal in the 89th minute.

Last November, San Marino representatives did not concede to Estonia in their stronghold (0:0). These were the qualifying matches of this group.

At the youth level (up to 19 years old), Lithuanians have also stumbled - the matches held in San Marino in 2003 ended in a draw 1:1.

At the national team level, our compatriots won all three matches - 4:0 at home and 2:0 and 1:0 away.
