Football fans from all over the world on Saturday were convinced that "Barcelona" is the strongest club in Europe. In the prestigious Champions League final, the Catalans dominated and convincingly defeated "Man Utd" 3-1.

It was a match in which the two relatively strongest winners of the national championships of the Old Continent clashed - the Spanish champions fought against the title holders of England. However, there was not too much suspense - Pep Guardiola's team were much superior and proved it by scoring three goals, even though until then, "Man Utd" had only managed to do so four times throughout the entire season in Europe.

The match started with Manchester's team promising pressure, but soon "Barcelona" found their rhythm and after a precise strike by Pedro from close range, they took the lead.

However, shortly thereafter, a rare attack by "Man Utd" ended with a great goal: after a few accurate short passes, Wayne Rooney put the ball into the net.

But that was not enough, and in the second half "Barcelona" proved their superiority. In the 54th minute, the best footballer on the planet, Lionel Messi, scored with a shot from distance, which did not seem very reliable for the goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, who was ending his career. And a little later, David Villa left no hope for the Dutchman with a great shot, sealing the victory.

In the remaining time, "Man Utd" tried to launch a decisive attack, but the threat to the Spanish team's goal never really materialized.

Sir Alex Ferguson, not too disappointed, went to collect the awards for second place, while "Barcelona" raised the trophy of the winners.
