After missing several weeks of training and games due to a hamstring injury, Brazilian legionnaire Gleyton Barbosa is returning to the lineup, as reported by the official website of the capital's club.
The 22-year-old footballer, who has been one of the best on the field for his team this season, but missed the first game of the season and the last three matches, no longer feels the effects of the injury and is likely to be able to play in the main team of the 10th round of the "A League" championship next week, where they will play at home against "Ekranas".
Last season, G. Barbosa played in Poland and has also represented the German clubs "Schalke" and "Nürnberg" during his career. This summer, he arrived in Vilnius with three of his compatriots from Brazil, but the club released them a week ago, leaving only one Brazilian, one Georgian, one Cameroonian, and two Poles among the legionnaires in the team.
Meanwhile, the recent matches of "Vilnius" have caused quite a stir - representatives of the "Atlantas" team, who suffered a defeat, were angry after the match at the "Žalgiris" stadium and kicked the plastic hoardings, breaking them in one place. In addition, a disciplinary committee decision awaits the Klaipėda team player R. Maciulevičius on Thursday for the blow to the opponent player P. Olivier-Bakalagui during the match.
