8630 spectators watched the match.

Team lineups: Hibernian: A.Brown; Whittaker, Al. Reid, Caldwell, Murdock, Nicol, McManus, Brebner, O’Connor, S.Brown, Orman. Substitutes: An. Reid, Smith, Glass, Morrow, Dobbie, Shields, McDonald.

Vėtra: Poškus; Grudzinskas, Sasnauskas, Raliukonis, Žudys, Rimkus, Butrimavičius, Šernas, Vaneikis, Vasiliauskas, Karvelis. Substitutes: Merkelis, Kijanskas, Litvinas, Stonkus, Douglas, Mižigurskis.

The Scottish team was missing six key players, and it was their first match after pre-season training.

The conditions at the stadium were very poor - the pitch was soaked, and the heavy rain did not stop. The guests seemed to adapt better to such weather conditions, but missed opportunities, especially Karvelis, who failed to control the ball in one episode.

In the 27th minute, after O'Connor's pass, Scott Brown had a great opportunity, but he shot straight at goalkeeper Poškus. In the 39th minute, defender Reid tried a long-range shot that flew just wide. Shortly after, the Scots had another chance, but Poškus saved a shot from 10 meters.

The best chance to score just before the end of the first half was for Šernas, who was put in a good position by Karvelis. However, the young defender shot inaccurately from 20 meters.

After the break, the hosts took the initiative, but it was the guests who scored first: after Butrimavičius' corner kick caused chaos in the penalty area, defender Sasnauskas took advantage and put his team ahead.

Vėtra retreated into defense, while Hibernian pressed their opponents trying to equalize the score. Whittaker's shot from 12 meters couldn't find the net. With thirteen minutes left, a corner kick was awarded to the Vilnius team. Glass lifted the ball, S.Brown knocked it down to O'Connor, who then sent the ball into the net with a shot from 13 meters.
