The Women's First League will start on March 22nd © lff.lt

The championships organized by the Lithuanian Women's Football Association will start on Friday, involving 13 teams.

The league named after the main women's football partner "Topo centras Euronics" will consist of three stages: a regular season of thirteen rounds, semifinals, matches for lower places, and a final event for the top four teams.

These competitions are aimed at developing women's football in various regions of Lithuania and providing young players with more experience in 11x11 format matches.

The following teams will compete in the championships: "Utenos Utenis", FA "Šiauliai-SG", FC "Džiugas", FC "Hegelmann" B, FK "Babrungas", FK "Gintra" B, FK "Nevėžis", FK "Saned" B, FK "Šešupė", FK "Vilkija", FK "Žalgiris", MFA "Bitės", and defending champions MFA "Žalgiris" B-MRU.

"We can be proud that the new season is starting in collaboration with the main women's football partner "Topo centras Euronics". This season, we will have an increased number of teams, indicating that these championships are a growing league and there are also growing existing and new teams that will join the battles of the 2024 championships," said LMFA general director Milda Liužinaitė.

March 22 (Friday)

17:00 FK "Vilkija" - FK "Šešupė";

18:00 FC "Džiugas" - FK "Saned" B;

19:00 FK "Nevėžis" - MFA "Bitės";

19:00 FC "Hegelmann" B - "Utenos Utenis";

March 23 (Saturday)

13:00 FA "Šiauliai-SG" - FK "Babrungas".
