The women's futsal championship group stage is approaching the end

The last weekend was dedicated to playing the 4th round matches of the 2023-2024 season of the Lithuanian women's futsal championship.

Out of the scheduled 6 matches, 5 took place, as Tauragės SC-MFK team did not show up for the match in Vilnius, where they were supposed to challenge the group leader MFA "Žalgiris"-MRU team.

In the South-East regional group, intense competition continues between Jonava and Vilkija footballers for a spot in the semi-finals. Both teams outperformed the representatives from Marijampolė over the weekend.

FK "Jonava" defeated Marijampolė FC with a score of 12:1 in an away game. Oksana Dičkutė scored the home team's goal, while Karolina Zabolotnaja from Jonava struggled to be stopped, scoring 6 goals. Paulina Potapova scored 4 goals, while Justina Baltrūnaitė and Eva Gecevičiūtė scored the rest.

Playing in Garliava, FK "Vilkija" triumphed 6:1 against "Marijampolė City". The winning team's double was scored by Gabija Malakauskaitė and Dovilė Dockaitė, followed by Liucija Fedorčak and Ema Kučinskaitė. The only goal for the visitors was scored by Viktorija Svirupskytė.

In the North-West regional group, FK "Banga" was the first to reach the 12-point mark. The Lithuanian futsal champions hosted FK "Gintra"-ŠSG team and showcased their dominance in the second half with a 3:0 victory, with goals from Monika Grikšaite, Austėja Jokubaityte, and Atėnė Streckytė.

FA "Šiauliai" unleashed a storm of 12 goals against Plungės FK "Babrungas" without reply. Gabija Toropovaitė and Augustė Augėnaitė each scored a hat-trick, while Greta Lukjančukė and Gerda Auksutytė added braces. Lolita Kalinauskaitė and Adrija Arlauskaite also contributed to the victory.

The clash between FK "Saned" and FK "Mamukai" was marked by a flurry of goals, and the referee recorded the final score of 2:10. Kornelija Domkutė scored a brace for the home team, while Rita Oksaitė and Sonata Durienė shined for the visitors. The standout player of the match was Raimonda Bložytė, who scored an impressive 5 goals.

The last round of the regular season, concluding the group stage of the championship, will take place on January 27 and 28.
