At 19:30, the seventh match of the thirteenth round of the English Premier League took place at Anfield stadium.
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool team hosted the Chelsea players from London. After a tough battle, the winner in Liverpool was not determined - the match ended in a draw.
The beginning of the match was active from both teams. The hosts spent more time with the ball, but Chelsea never threatened their opponents' goal with fast attacks.
After a tense first half, neither team scored, so the whole contest moved to the next 45 minutes.
They were much more beautiful and finally brought goals. In the 65th minute, the Reds triumphed at the stadium - Mohamed Salah found himself one-on-one with Thibaut Courtois after a great combination and sent the ball into the opponents' goal with a precise shot from a few meters away.
After conceding a goal, Chelsea did not intend to give up, but it was difficult for the visitors from London to create chances that could turn into a goal.
Antonio Conte decided to make changes in the lineup - he introduced Cesc Fabregas, Pedro, and Willian. One of the substitutions soon brought the desired result.
In the 85th minute, Willian received the ball at the edge of the penalty area, turned, and shot towards the goal. The Brazilian's intention was to make a dangerous pass towards the goal, but the ball flew in such a way that it managed to end up in Simon Mignolet's goal - the winger lifted the ball over the goalkeeper.
The remaining minutes were tense, but Anfield stadium did not see any more goals and the teams shared a point.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool remain in their positions, but in the match tomorrow between Burnley and Arsenal, one of these teams will have the opportunity to surpass the Reds and even rise to the fourth position.
