On Saturday the Premier League matches started with one of the central tour matches - at the Etihad Stadium, the Manchester City team welcomed the Chelsea players. Manchester City triumphed in the match with a score of 1:0. The first half was quite sluggish from both sides. Chelsea had barely approached the opponents' goal a couple of times and did not make a single shot towards the goal, while Manchester City created just one more serious opportunity when Kepa Arrizabalaga saved Jack Grealish's shot. In the second half, Chelsea could have taken the lead with Romelu Lukaku, but the Belgian did not take advantage of his chance. Meanwhile, City extended their lead with a wonderful strike from Kevin De Bruyne in the 70th minute. Breaking through N'Golo Kante, the leader of the "Citizens" left no chance for the Chelsea goalkeeper. The remaining part of the match was difficult for Chelsea to create chances, while Pep Guardiola's players secured a well-deserved victory. After this victory, Manchester City further distanced themselves from the pursuers at the top of the Premier League standings.
