It was planned that four matches, including Qatar and Ecuador, would be played on the first day of the tournament. Today it was decided, according to tradition, that these matches must be the only ones on the first day. As a result, the World Cup will start on November 20, and in the evening football fans will be able to watch the matches between Qatar and Ecuador. The next day, the Netherlands will play against Senegal, England against Iran, and the USA against Wales. The tournament will end on December 18. It will be broadcasted in Lithuania on LRT television. FIFA will move the World Cup to start a day earlier, on November 20 instead of November 21, so that host nation Qatar can play first, per multiple reports.
