21-year-old Julian Weigl has signed a new contract with the Borussia Dortmund club.
The German is irreplaceable in the "yellow-black" ranks this season. J. Weigl successfully organizes the team's game in the midfield - playing in the holding midfielder position.
With his reliable play in the midfield, J. Weigl has earned a place in the German national team. Rumors have been circulating in the media that the German is one of the main targets for Real Madrid in the summer.
However, J. Weigl is not in a hurry to move to one of Europe's giants and has decided to sign a new contract with Borussia until 2021.
Borussia acquired J. Weigl from 1860 Munich in 2015. From the very first season, the midfielder became an important player for the BVB team and has already played 73 matches.
