Injuries suffered by French national team forward Antoine Griezmann during the 2018 World Cup qualifying matches may force him to miss the Madrid derby this weekend.
A. Griezmann suffered foot injuries in the match against Sweden. The footballer was substituted after the first half, but news quickly spread after the match that the Frenchman's foot bone may have been broken.
However, Madrid "Atletico" fans were reassured by doctors who, after examinations, confirmed that A. Griezmann did not have any broken bones.
A. Griezmann is returning to Madrid today and will begin a special treatment process. The Frenchman told the newspaper "Marca" that the injury is not serious and he will do everything to be ready for the match against "Real."
The Madrid derby will take place at the Vicente Calderon stadium this coming Saturday.
