During the festive season, Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren received bad news.
The 28-year-old Croatian is being accused of document forgery in his homeland and could face a long prison sentence.
ESPN reports that the player was summoned over a 2010 transfer from Zagreb's Dinamo to Lyon, as he allegedly backdated the contract.
For such offense and tax evasion, he could face up to 5 years in prison.
In this case in Croatia, Dinamo director Zdravko Mamic is also accused, and even Luka Modric's sister-in-law Vesna Juraic, who worked as a treasurer at the club, could end up in jail.
