At London's "Arsenal" club - good news. Three Frenchmen - Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny, and Francis Coquelin - have signed new contracts with the "Gunners" team.
On the official "Arsenal" club website, it is stated that all three Frenchmen have put their signatures on long-term contracts. Rumors that O. Giroud would soon sign a contract with the "Gunners" have been circulating for a long time, but not much was said about the other two French players.
The head coach Arsene Wenger spoke after this news: "We are very pleased that three important players of our team have tied their future with Arsenal. Francis has made tremendous technical improvements over the past years, but it's not surprising, as he has worked hard every day.
Olivier has vast experience and is crucial in every match for us. Laurent, of course, is one of the most important parts of our team and, in my opinion, one of the best defenders in the world."
L. Koscielny has been playing for "Arsenal" since 2010, while O. Giroud joined the club two years later. 25-year-old F. Coquelin joined the "Gunners" academy back in 2008.
