Three "Atlantis" football players flew to France, two more are getting ready

On Wednesday, Klaipėda's "Atlantas" football team players - 18-year-old goalkeeper Edvinas Gertmonas, 17-year-old defender Dovydas Virkšas, and 18-year-old forward Rokas Krušnauskas flew from Vilnius to France.

The residents of Klaipėda will visit the club "Saint-Etienne" where they finished 4th in their country's championship in the 2013-2014 season. The representatives of the club invited the Lithuanians for a trial.

"The French had already seen E.Gertmonas, D.Virkšas and R.Krušnauskas, they watched them play," said Atlantas' head coach Konstantinas Sarsanija. "This trip was not organized by us, but by the French team."

According to K.Sarsanija, during the first few days in France, the Atlantas' players will undergo tests and training with the reserve team. Later, friendly matches are planned, in which the residents of Klaipėda will also participate.

Later this month, two more Atlantas' footballers - 18-year-old defender Rolandas Baravykas and 20-year-old winger Donatas Kazlauskas - will pack their bags for France. They will be welcomed at the club "Lille."
