On Wednesday, three different candidates emerged who want to host the 2030 World Cup.
As announced earlier, one of the candidates is Ukraine, Portugal, and Spain. The latter two countries expressed their interest this summer when special friendly matches were held between their national teams. Recently, Ukraine has also joined them.
South American countries such as Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Chile are also vying to host the biggest football event in the world.
Finally, some of the candidates are countries located on different continents: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Greece.
Football fans speculate that South American countries are favorites to host this championship, as 2030 will mark the 100th anniversary of the first World Cup.
The 2030 World Cup will feature 48 national teams.
