For the 2025 season, the head coach position of the "Kauno Žalgiris" football club has been awarded to Eivinas Černiauskas, who has worked as an assistant until now, and there will be more changes in the coaching staff.
After five seasons together, the "TOPsport A League" bronze medalists have parted ways with goalkeeping coach Mantas Gintalas, who joined the coaching staff in 2019 along with Rokas Garastas.
"I want to thank the 'Kauno Žalgiris' organization, where I spent five years. In football, that is a considerable period, and during it, I experienced a lot – different coaches, four seasons with medals. I gained a lot of experience that will be useful in the future," M. Gintalas told Žalgiris.lt.
The club will also see a change in the fitness coach – in the upcoming years, Paulius Ragauskas, who has been preparing the players since March 2023, will no longer be with the club.
"We had two interesting seasons in Kaunas, which included everything. I leave with even more experience and would like to wish the organization success in the upcoming season," P. Ragauskas said as he bid farewell.
The team will also lose physiotherapist Ainius Čepulis, and the new coaching staff composition will be presented soon.
