Three goals from Africa's "Player of the Year" Samuel Eto'o allowed the Cameroonian national team to secure a victory in the Africa Cup of Nations B Group match against the Angolan national team.

Cameroon 3 - 1 Angola

20' [1 - 0] Samuel Eto'o

30' [1 - 1] Amado Flavio (penalty)

38' [2 - 1] Samuel Eto'o

77' [3 - 1] Samuel Eto'o

Cameroon, considered one of the favorites of the tournament, took the lead in the 20th minute of the match when Barcelona star Samuel Eto'o scored from a penalty shot about 25 meters away. Angola's footballers, who unexpectedly made it to the World Cup in Germany, leveled the score after ten minutes when Amado Flavio successfully converted a penalty kick earned by Akwa.

However, the Cameroonian footballers managed to regain the advantage in the first half when S. Eto'o directed the ball into the net with a header in the 38th minute after a pass from Rodolpho Douala.

Although in the second half Angola had territorial dominance, Cameroon's defense excellently thwarted the opponents' attacks. Pedro Mantorras, who appeared in the Angolan lineup in the second half, revitalized their game, and in the 65th minute, he nearly equalized the score with a header that just missed the goal. After this episode, S. Eto'o clearly showed his dissatisfaction, as Angolan players did not return the ball under the Fair Play rules after Cameroonian players kicked it out of bounds to help the injured Rigoberto Songu.

It was precisely in the 77th minute of the match that S. Eto'o sealed the victory, scoring a "hat-trick" with a shot from outside the penalty area.

Today, the other B Group match between the national teams of Togo and DR Congo is still being played. These matches are broadcast live from 20:00 on EuroSport.
