Three Lithuanian players who played in the "A League" last season will move to Ukraine next season and will represent the Simferopol "Tavria" team in the highest league starting from the second half of the season - they signed with the neighboring country's club and added defenders and a forward.

The trio of players trained for a while at the reviving Vilnius "Žalgiris" at the beginning of the year, but later went to Ukraine and participated in the "Tavria" tryouts in recent months. Successfully recommended in the tryouts, these Lithuanians became official members of the club this week together with four other players.

Last season, 26-year-old A.Veikutis played for Marijampolė's "Sūduva" and helped the team to secure the third place in Lithuanian championships after a long break. 27-year-old A.Jokšas played for "Žalgiris" in the fourth stage of the Intertoto Cup, while 28-year-old N.Vasiliauskas was a member of Vilnius' "Vėtra", but missed many matches due to lingering injuries.

The task for the newcomers is clear - to help the "Tavria" team avoid relegation to a lower league, as currently standing in 14th place in the 16-team tournament, just one point ahead of the last place held by Kijevo "Arsenal" in the relegation zone. At the moment, Kijevo "Dinamo" is leading the ongoing Ukrainian championship after the winter break, which includes Edgaras Česnauskis.
