Three South American countries united forces for the World Cup

Three South American countries declared that they will submit a joint bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, lrytas.lt reports.

The presidents of Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay made the announcement on Wednesday at the presidential palace in Buenos Aires.

Although the bidding process will not take place for another four years, it is clear that the three South American countries will face serious competition.

European countries will also compete to host the tournament. It is believed that China also wants to become the host.

The 2018 World Cup will take place in Russia, and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. It is not yet known who will host the 2026 World Cup, but the favorites are considered to be the United States, Mexico, and Canada, who also want to co-host the tournament.
