Three titles "Barça" helped win by L.Enrique: my future is unclear

On Saturday evening in Berlin, there was a multitude of emotions. For some, the Champions League final turned into euphoria, while for others - deep sadness. Luis Enrique and the "Barcelona" team shouted and celebrated their Champions League trophy, beating Turin's "Juventus" team 3-1. The latter's coach Massimiliano Allegri had to remain humble.

Both strategists were already asked about the future after the final. M. Allegri seemed happier, immediately setting new goals for the dominating "Juventus" club in the Italian championship.

The first and biggest - to solidify the club among the European giants in the coming years.

"We were naive, did not fight to the end, so 'Barcelona' scored. We took a lot of risks and had several good chances. But when you play against amazing players, sometimes you think you control the situation, that you have the advantage. When that happens, the opponent scores. Maybe we could have played more accurately in some situations, but we fought until the end," said M. Allegri.

This season "Juventus" aimed to win the Treble - the Italian "Serie A" and the Italian Cup, along with the Champions League trophies. The first two - in "Juventus'" pocket.

"The first goal is always the same - the Italian championship and cup. The Champions League still remains a dream. We had a fantastic season. I cannot say anything bad about my team," said the 47-year-old Italian who started coaching "Juventus" this season after moving from "AC Milan".

Can it happen?

L. Enrique took over the scepter from Gerardo Martino just last summer, who did not win any significant trophies. The former Spanish national team player changed everything in the first year and followed in Pep Guardiola's footsteps. "Barcelona" won the Spanish championship, the King's Cup this season, and ultimately finished the season with a resounding victory in the Champions League. The "Barcelona" club had only won the three most important trophies once before, and that was nearly six years ago when the team was led by P. Guardiola.

It seems that the coach has proven his worth, but talking about his future surprised everyone.

"The truth is, my future is not clear," said the 45-year-old specialist.

"We are very happy. I had a group of unique players in my team. They are winners, warriors who enjoy everything they do. It was our 60th match of the season. We reached 50 wins. The year was tough, and I am very grateful to everyone who believed in me. I didn't think we would win the Treble, but the players try to do their job as best as possible. The players have shown that they are not tired of winning," said L. Enrique.
