Three young female footballers linked the future with "Gintra" © JumpStory

Despite the difficult situation in the sports world, the Šiauliai "Gintra-Universitetas" club remains active, balancing the composition not only with the nearest future in mind, but also looking towards the long-term future. The Lithuanian champions officially shook hands with three players considered to be among the most promising in the country. Gabija Toropovaitė, Rimantė Jonušaitė, and Meda Šeškutė will wear the yellow and black jerseys for the next few years, defending the city's and the country's honor not only in the Lithuanian A league championship but also in the Baltic League and the prestigious UEFA Women's Champions League.

None of these young players are newcomers to the team. Turning 18 in January, G. Toropovaitė last season represented another team in Šiauliai - Šiaulių SG-FA "Šiauliai" where she was an obvious leader. However, in both the Baltic League championship and other friendly tournaments or friendly matches, the girl who plays in the defensive position received compliments from head coach Rimantas Viktoravičius. Despite the coach's praises, G. Toropovaitė modestly remains dedicated to being with the ball and her creativity opens up opportunities to demonstrate unique abilities related to ball control.

We can predict that in the coming years we will see even greater breakthroughs in the careers of these players. Like a gust of wind that rushed into the ranks of multiple country champions in the spring of 2019, R. Jonušaitė stands out with her vibrant colors in the pre-season cycle. With her excellent play in friendly matches, she not only convinced coach R. Viktoravičius that she is worthy to play in the women's representative team of Šiauliai, but also earned the position of the main team's forward.

...and so on.
