Ben White has signed a new contract with London's Arsenal and is focusing solely on club matters.
England manager Gareth Southgate, who presented the squad for friendly matches, revealed why B. White is not in the lineup.
The Arsenal defender declined to be included in this lineup.
G. Southgate said at a press conference, "We had a call from Arsenal - they said White didn't want to be among the candidates for the England squad."
White didn't want to be selected and it's a pity. He is a player I really like. I invited him to both the European and World Championships. I spoke to him and after Qatar, I wanted him in the lineup... it's obvious he has a lot of doubts."
During the friendly matches against Brazil and Belgium, debutants in the England squad will be seen - Everton defender Jarrod Brantwaite was invited to the team. The squad also includes Jarrod Bowen, Cole Palmer, Anthony Gordon, Ezri Konsa, and other familiar faces.
