Brazilian football legend Pele believes that comparisons between him and Kylian Mbappe are not far-fetched.
K. Mbappe has been praised for some time by the Brazilian football legend, who became a world champion for the first time at the age of 17. K. Mbappe achieved this at the age of two years older and became the second player after Pele to score in a World Cup final before turning 19.
Pele believes that K. Mbappe could be considered his successor.
"He won the World Cup at 19, I did it two years earlier. I tried to annoy him a little by saying that he almost equaled me," Pele told "France Football" magazine.
"I think he could become the new Pele. Many people think I'm just joking when I say that, but it's not true," said the 78-year-old Brazilian, looking serious.
