Madriddo "Real" club and German national team midfielder Toni Kroos acknowledges that nothing compares to winning the World Cup, but believes that in the near future he will experience a similar feeling again.
The German team led by Joachim Low became the 2014 World Cup champions in the summer, defeating the Argentine national team in the final with a score of 1-0.
"Being a world champion with Germany - there is nothing better for a football player", the 24-year-old midfielder told "Bild" newspaper. "We worked every day to achieve this."
"Now we are world champions! It happened eight weeks ago and we still find it hard to focus on other matches. The World Cup title is not everything a player desires. In the near future, we want to experience the feeling of triumph again," Kroos concluded.
The next goal for the German national team is to win the 2016 European Championship. On Sunday, the Germans will begin the qualification for this tournament, with the first match played against Scotland.
