32-year-old defender Thiago Motta shook hands with Paris Saint-Germain on Friday for the renewal of his contract.
It is announced that the footballer, holding Italian and Brazilian citizenship, has extended his current contract with the French champions until 2017. This means that Motta will remain in the PSG team for at least two more seasons.
T. Motta joined the Saint-Germain club in the winter of 2012. At that time, the French paid 10 million euros to the Milan "Inter" team, but the purchase did not pay off immediately.
During the first two seasons, the Italian played only 31 matches, but in the following season, T. Motta appeared on the field 47 times, and last season, wearing PSG jerseys, he played 36 matches.
During his 3.5 years at PSG, the 11-year-old defender managed to score nine goals and win three "Ligue 1" trophies.
