The publication "France Football", which organizes this award ceremony, has not announced the three candidates to win this award, as it did before when it used to collaborate with FIFA. At the moment, 30 footballers are known to be on the list of nominees for the "Ballon d'Or". However, the media has long been talking about three players competing for the award - Luka Modrić, Antoine Griezmann, and Raphael Varane. The award ceremony, taking place in Paris, should start at 8:45 pm Lithuanian time, but the actual awards should be presented an hour later. Not only the best footballer on the planet will be awarded this year, but also the best female footballer and the best young player on the planet. According to recent sources, Luka Modrić will receive the "Golden Ball", while Kylian Mbappe will win the "Kopa" award.
