Speed in football, as in any sport, plays a very important role. Football players with sprinting qualities can easily outrun opponents in attack or hold them back in defense.
"Sportsdb" decided to compile a list of players who have performed the fastest sprints.
At the top of the list is the somewhat lesser-known Sven Botman - the defender for "Newcastle United" managed to reach a speed of 39.21 km/h.
In second place is "Liverpool" forward Darwin Nunes (38 km/h), in third place is PSG representative Kylian Mbappe - 37.9 km/h.
