"Gazetta dello Sport" compiled a top ten list of the highest-earning players in the Italian "Serie A" championship. The list is dominated by representatives of Turin's "Juventus". The top ten also includes four new summer signings. The top ten starts with Mario Mandžukić and Douglas Costa - both earning 6 million euros per season. In eighth place with 6.5 million euros is Miralem Pjanić. Following in order are Aaron Ramsey (7 million), Paulo Dybala (7.3 million), Gonzalo Higuain (7.5 million), and Adrien Rabiot with Romelu Lukaku - both players earning 9 million per season. In second place with a 12 million annual salary is the young defender Matthijs de Ligt, in first place significantly ahead of the rest is Cristiano Ronaldo, earning 31 million euros per season.
