“Swansea City” has reached an agreement with London's “Tottenham” for the acquisition of defender Kyle Naughton. The Welsh club will pay 5 million pounds sterling for the Englishman.
The first offer from the “Swans” was rejected at the beginning of January, so the 26-year-old footballer attracted interest from several other teams. One of them was “Leicester City”, but the amount of money offered by them seemed too low.
“Swansea” then agreed to pay 5 million and in the coming days Naughton will be able to undergo a medical examination.
The defender has been playing for “Tottenham” since 2009 when he arrived from “Sheffield United”.
